I spent some time today in a coffee shop on the East side of Manhattan sketching a few tiger beetles over some iced coffee and an almond croissant (my go-to cafĂ© pastry) and these are the results. I still need to work on getting my proportions and shading right, but I’m trying to get used to doing things imperfectly, so here it is!
